Welcome.
In 2000, No Fly Zone was founded when a group of individuals decided to turn their shared interests into an official Hunting Club. After a couple of quick meetings, we were on our way to creating something extraordinary.
With time, we’ve grown into a more serious and mature organization, allowing us to take our interests to new levels. When you decide to join us, you too will gain access to various events and, more importantly, to a community of people who are just as passionate as you are.
Meet the Team
David Lovato – President – Founder

The No Fly Zone Hunt Team is David’s vision of what a hunt team should be. He is constantly working to improve the team and all of the members, continually pushing both himself and those around him to be better. He is always looking for opportunities to teach others new skills or how to improve their current skills.
Notable Accomplishments
2023 NAGDA 3rd Place Open Pointing Division with Bruno
Marc Zandell – Vice President

Marc originally came to David as a competitor, and was looking for training advice on how to improve his trial performance. That meeting has turned into a strong friendship and bond, and Marc has won a national title as a result of his hard work and David’s training methods.
Notable Accomplishments
2022 NAGDA Open Pointing Division National Champion with Chloe
Chuck Rasco – Secretary/Treasurer

Chuck initially came to the team as a photographer, as David asked him to come out to a training event and take photos of his dogs in action. Within a few months, Chuck was training with the team and learning how to work with the dogs. After a season of working with the dogs on the team, Chuck jumped in and got his own dog. He is also the official photographer for the North American Gun Dog Association.
Darin Lovato – Founding Member

Darin is a founding member of the team, and is one of the quickest shots on the team. This stems from always challenging David growing up to see who could shoot their targets the quickest.
Preston McKelvey – Founding Member

Preston is a founding member of the team, and also a guide at Wild Willow Outfitters.
Jon Dilbeck

Jon met David while on a guided hunt at one of the area shooting clubs. After several hunts together, Jon got his first gun dog and approached David for help in training her. Jon’s tireless dedication to training quickly became evident, and it was that perseverance that landed him a spot on the team.
Trent Doudna

Trent became a member of the team after competing on a collegiate shooting team. He had also been competing and working at NAGDA events as he learned the game of field trialing. When he got his new puppy, he approached David for training advice, and was added to the team shortly after.
Brett Morganflash

Brett competes in various disciplines with his dogs, and is the owner of Dog Patch Gamebirds.
